Monitoring remote sites with Blue Iris.

Post by mpoczynek »

What is the best way to monitor other sites with the full version of Blue Iris? Not a phone app.

Does every site have to have a Blue Iris license and computer setup?

If each site is a completely separate site then yes each install would require a unique license.

If you have the credentials you could use UI3 to monitor each remote site?

There is also a way to use another BI license to manage a remote site but I’ve never ever used it so don’t know the exacts and specifics.

If every site has a stand alone set of cameras for Blue Iris, then yes, you would need a license per pc. You could then use the Blue Iris remote functionality - search for "Remote Management" (page 8 etc.) of the Help file to view any one site from a different site. I believe Support may offer a discount for multiple licences.

UI3 is the LAN local browser method for viewing a BI5 system.
