Problem with continuos recording

Post by Codeer-IT »

Hallo,

I have a question about continuous recording, and safe every hour one file.

See screenshots in this posts,

I have create my own NVR PC (AMD Rayzen 9 and it works perfect with a storage of 32 TB to record my home / garden) the only problem I have is how do I record Continuous?

I only have one hour record, then it overwrites it again. I don’t want that, I want to record until 31 TB (for example) and then overwrite it when the disk is full.

In my eyes the settings are correct, this is a example of one camera “Wegel”.

Can you please help me to do this?

Regards & thx for the help!

Agreed. We specifically need to see that page for the "Records/Stored" folder.

Disable the 'combine or cut' option or enter zero for hours and establish your storage parameter by size only. Not quite sure how that will tie into your existing storage layout, but seeing those settings will indeed be helpful in assisting.

I'll let the other guys handle it from here. A couple other steps are involved to achieve what you want to do and they're better equipped to explain them.

Limit size = 0

As I understand it, if it hits one or the other of the size or time limits it will do the action, which in your case is Delete. Try setting that to the maximum size you want "Stored" to be.

Each camera defaults to write to the NEW folder where you have yours set to STORED.
The NEW folder should be on your storage drive and not the primary C drive.
Unless you have multiple storage drives you do not need to use the STORED folder as the NEW folder will hold them until the drive is full then will delete as needed.
Here are pics of my setup with camera set to record 1 hour clips.
Note the NEW folder settings to limit size to 8000GB which is 80% of my 10TB drive.
My storage drive is "Z" where normaly would be "D"

Here is photo of my Status Storage info.
Using substreams and keeping FPS low and manipulating resolution, my storage drive holds about 1 month of files for 30 cameras,

Why do you have your BI database set to Stored, is there a specific reason?
