Stable releases

Post by reefjunkie »

I've noticed the timing of publishing stable releases seems to be getting longer and longer.

We're currently at 5.7.9.12 (9/17/23) as being the latest stable. Before that it was about a month out but I don't recall the details.

I guess I should hunt around for patch notes...??

Mostly I came here hoping to find a quick note about why stable releases are stretching out further lately.

Thanks!

Don't forget that BI is a very small company. We don't have details of the future enhancement plans, but I do know that Ken listens to good ideas.

I gave up installing the latest and greatest quite a while ago as they may well introduce issues/problems that then need to be resolved.

I now wait ages until I actually see a feature that I think I could use before even thinking about out updating. Right now though my support has expired so I’m sort of stuck for the time being which is no bad thing.
