Alerts -> sound not working

I don't really need this functionality to work but if anyone has any ideas I will try them.

I’m having the same issue. Running version 5.7.9.12.
I can get the sound to play when I press Test within the sound action, but I cannot get it to play via any trigger whatsoever.
I’ve tried for about an hour trying different settings to get anything to play but no luck.

I actually really need this feature to work for my specific use case.

Hi Jozy, can you try it as an Immediate action and see if it works from there with the reduced logic ?
Can you add some screen grabs of the alert action ?

Immediate action doesn’t help sadly.
I did notice something very strange however.
When I close the UI (BI still running in background) I get alert sounds. The second I open the UI I stop getting sound.

Edit: I feel a bit stupid. I missed the volume slider in Bi which was muted. I didn’t know that volume was tied to the alert sounds and thought it was just for camera audio.

I am having the same issue. The alert sound does not work if Blue Iris UI is open. But if the UI is closed the alert sound works. Every sound slider that I can find in Blue Iris or the system is not muted and at least on 50%, (up to 100%). Blue Iris runs as a background service and the UI as admin. It runs on a headless windows 10 pc all by itself and I use the UI3 on a separate pc to monitor the cameras. I can live with it this way but it's a strange issue.
