Investing in a coral USB accelerator?

Before I purchase an coral IA accelerator, I want to verify this is the right product to work well with BI5 (latest version)

https://coral.ai/products/accelerator

It is my basic understanding that will help improve identifying object movement. For my HOA, our needs are not complex, we just need to detect people, vehicles, and pets.

If there is a better option, let me know.

Interesting. How would this be used in BI?

It works with CPAI rather than BI5, so unless anybody here knows the answer, I would ask at the CodeProject AI forum where it is a hot topic. I think I read there that the USB coral is flaky with Windows but good with Linux, but there was a different type. Research required

I use a GTX1650 graphics card and do not have a Coral device.

If you are going to get a coral, then get the nvme m-key coral. it runs faster and cooler than the usb version. If you don't have an open m.2 slot, then use a pcie to nvme converter. The converter is $10 on amazon, and the m.2 coral is $27 on mouser, so you will save $$ over the usb version.

There are adapters to convert the dual tpu into a single slot, but they are $30.

Thank you all for the info.

I run CP & BI using the gpu option. I have NVidia RTX 12gig 3060.
Most of the software I run has options for gpu.
