Eufy E340 Video Doorbell - Do I need the homebase?

Hi,

I am replacing my Video Doorbell with a Eufy 340 (Dual camera). I am still at the purchasing stage and no very little about the unit (other than what I saw / read).

I read that this device can be connected to BlueIris. Has anyone done a review of this particular model or can share first hand review please? How does BI handle two cameras? Does the fact that BI will be polling it constantly have an impact on it?

I am wondering if I can avoid having to invest in the Homebase S380. What is very important to me is that this is primarily a video Doorbell and priority should be on alerting if someone is at the door. The ability to use it as an additional camera is secondary albeit very nice to have if possible.

Thanks

I've been researching the topic and it seems that the Eufy does not support Onvif and RTSP.

So I think it will not work with BI.

I can tell you that the Reolink doorbell POE is working well at my house.
