MicroSeven Wide-Angle cam

Here's a pic from a MicroSeven Wide-Angle cam with 150° field of view. I have one mounted and another will be installed this week- mounting them at 90-degree angles to each other will let me cover a huge area without installing loads of cameras.

It's not a high-res camera (1080p @30fps) but the view is excellent- sharp, crisp, and with pretty good color accuracy. I have some higher resolution cams in a few specific areas but I wanted these so I would have full-area coverage at a glance.

I'm planning on getting a couple more and mounting them together in a small enclosure, also at 90-degree angles to each other. The cams will be placed on the other side of the house, giving me a 300° view of the back and other side.

The night vision is actually pretty good. It's sharp and clear and doesn't have a lot of 'speckle-noise' or snow like I see in some cameras.

Is it an awesome, super camera? No. But if you need an inexpensive wide-angle cam, this one seems to work fine.

Here's one at 9:30PM, fully dark outside. Not bad for a cheap little camera like that. The image is clear enough that I can watch the rabbits, chipmunks, raccoons, and other critters running around at night.

Wow that is a fantastic night picture.

Is that with pretty much the standard defaults or did you tweak it? Are you using any IR emitters?

My cameras to the front of my house have pretty good night time light sources so I keep them on full color normal mode (I also found they had issues after a few days with flipping between BW/Color). My backyard however is pretty dark and I'm only using built in IR.

Was there still light in the sky when that was taken? That looks like a Starlight camera if not.

The only adjustment I made in the cam was to reduce the saturation a bit, no changes other than that. I'm not using any IR emitters, but it does look like it's picking up a teeny bit of the IR light from one of the other cams.

Nope, it was fully dark. The timestamp in the corner shows it was taken at 9:47pm; sunset was at just after 9pm so it was good and dark by the time this was taken.

Strange, I didn't see anything touting their night vision or low light sensitivity on their tech specs or description, you'd think there'd call that out.
