I would wait until the move to github is complete and things are sorted. I am unaware of anything else that works with BI anyway.
I believe Deepstack is an option. I'm backing up the boot disk in my BI setup now just in case.

I mean with all the dev around AI, there is no better option than CPAI now ? With more "intelligence" to avoid false (and stupid) detection ?

Cameras with already developed onboard AI functions combined with ONVIF triggering is the logical option. Many have gone that route for good reason.

The other is to learn the many nuances of what Blue Iris can already do for you without the need for any outside AI resources..., except your patience and dedication to learning the already existing capabilities of the software; real intelligence.

Patience and dedication holds true for CPAI itself, of course, but I have a cloned driveway camera with a twelve pixel trigger that is nearly 100% accurate for either a vehicle or me walking to and from the mailbox. It cost me nothing except the time and resourcefulness to dick with it until I got it working the way I wanted. Twelve pixels.

There's no quick and dirty easy way. The lazy way never works. CPAI itself proves that in glaring fashion with example after example of its shortcomings in accurate object identification when user expectations are greater than the limitations of the software.

Ironic that the term 'false positive' was only a simple oxymoron until AI gave it a literal meaning.

Learn your cameras and your system. You may be missing much better solutions than third party AI right at your finger tips.

Made the mistake of manually installing the v2.8.0 from Github before reading this post.
Service will no longer start.

Anyone with a step by step to fix this or do I need to wait until they fold and/or solve their issues?
Crossing my fingers that CPAI (and BI) will stay in business...

I already did this, but the CPAI windows service will not start afterwards. Error 1053.
Tried a complete unstall/reinstall without luck.
Perhaps missing the module as per your previous post? But I need the YOLOv5 .NET, which I do not see in the list.

Has anyone succesfully done a clean install of 2.8.0 from below link?
https://codeproject.github.io/

After installation I am trying to start the CPAI Windows service, but only get the
“Error 1053 : The Service Did Not Respond To The Start Or Control Request In A Timely Fashion”

I did a fresh install from that link, downloading the modules and installing them "manually" without a problem.
Did you try un-installing, manually deleting the folders, before performing the install?

Do you mind sharing with me, how you download and install the modules manually? It doesn't look like a windows install package.

Mike, do you know which module is equivalent to YOLOv5 .NET or is this no longer available from the new site?
