5.5.4.3 DS running on profiles its not enabled

Post by Tinman »

Updated to 5.5.4.3 yesterday and last night I had RANDOM deepstack alerts on a profile that was deepstack is not enabled. This happened on 3 different cams. My profile 3 which is night mode, I do not use deepstack on it.

That's not really possible. Can you verify that the profile used at 12:04 AM on that date had DS disabled like the image below?

Yes, that was the first thing I checked and looked right. But on the one cam I did find a sliver of green on the camera's schedule which explains why it did. I have never seen or can I reproduce this again. I fixed the schedule and now am running 5.5.4.3.

Now for the other camera it wasn't that easy as the schedule for it was fine

So... the Shop Walk Door camera also has global schedule override enabled, just like the back porch? If it happens again, I would be inclined to revert to a previously working state - be it import a working REG backup or... revert to a the previous version before updating and prove that it doesn't happen again. If it doesn't, update again, check the log for errors, and monitor it.

You can copy the settings from any camera to another camera using the copy button on the camera settings dialog. So another strategy is to copy the fixed back porch schedule to the shop walk door - because you know back porch works... then adjust the schedule. Just a thought.

Yes that Shop walk door cam is not on the global schedule. As far as last night, everything worked as it should, but if it happens again I will give your idea a shot. :)

UPDATE: I finally found out what i had configured wrong. On my cameras that I use deepstack only during day (profile 1) and not during night (profile 3) I had left home and went to profile 7 (away) which is synced to profile 1....I knew this but just forgot that I had gone to profile 7. So now I have it fixed by checking "Also ignore manual global profile overrides" on those cams.

So I had a couple of user errors to deal with, but now 5.5.4.3 is working perfect.
