so i set up my cam and entered in the info into vlc directly using the RTSP protocol and the camera connects and works fine (clipboard1 image).
Go to BI software (software.jpg image), enter in RTSP cam, IP, user, pass, video path and it seems to connect (no error about username/password), but i get 'no signal'.
Strange though since i am using the same exact video path and rtsp port that worked on VLC.
Anyone have an idea? works just fine on VLC with the parameters.

It seems strange to me that both HTTP and RTSP are the same port. Usually only one protocol is listened for on any given port.
What are you using for video encoding and hardware acceleration? Maybe turn acceleration off as a test since we know that acceleration and H265 produce black screen.

By the way, what version of BI is that? I am on BI4 and it doesn't look much like your screen shot at all.
