Hopefully this hasn't been discussed but I couldn't think of an effective way to search for this...
I'm in the process of installing a 2nd location and in the process will replace the BI server at my existing location re-using it at the new location. (Less cameras at the new location) To save time I "staged" a config on the new server that will be backed up and restored onto the existing server and vice versa. The other part of my plan was to not bother moving the clip drive between servers as I'm upgrading capacity as well and the little inconvenience of having them at the location is acceptable.
My question is will the restored config that never knew the cameras at the existing location be able to use the database and manage the recordings on the existing server after the move?
