MQTT: v4 vs v5 difference?

Hello, I have the latest 5.0.7.5, upgraded from v4.

I am new to MQTT & still a novice with BI but I can no longer trigger proper motion detection sequences with BI using v5.

I have 2 cams:
drivewaycam - I created MQTT msgs in v4 - this works still after upgrade.
woodstovecam - I created MQTT msgs in v5 but final reset msg is never sent.

I used MQTTlens and found that drivewaycam was actually sending 3 msgs on motion detection, not 2. It first sends an OFF, then an ON immediately afterwards. 10 seconds later it receives the OFF (reset) msg. So why the first OFF msg?

woodstovecam only sends the first 2 msgs...never the reset msg.

As far as I can tell, both cams have the same settings.
