Unifi Dream Machine issue

I recently upgraded my netgear R8000 nighthawk router to the Unifi Dream Machine. I was never doing any kind of port forwarding or any settings when it came to remote viewing of my Blue Iris. Since the install of the Dream Machine everything seems to work fine except viewing Blue Iris remotely. Has anyone seen this or have an idea? Any help would be great. Thanks!

You're saying you could view Blue Iris remotely on while using the Netgear router via the app or web interface without ever forwarding a port in the router or using a VPN app like Open VPN to connect first? If so that's not how firewalls are supposed to work. With the Dream Machine you'd want to look into setting up a VPN server on it so you can connect via Open VPN or another client for remote access.

How were you remotley viewing? Via a phone app, or, browser.
And, were you viewing from outside your network, or inside your network?
