updated to BI5 now I have to log in...

Post by dstinson »

So updated to BI5 to fix the push notifications on my apple device (that is solved) and now I can't figure out how to remove the login to launch the app. On BI4 (same win10 machine and access) it just launched and i believe i did something to make it work that way. On BI5 i can't seem to replicate that. I am an admin, it is running as a service, just annoying if i want to launch, it i need to login every time. What gives?

and here is how you fix this...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Perspective Software\Blue Iris\Options

and set the "runasadmin" value back to its default of 1. This is the "require run as administrator" checkbox on the Settings/Startup page. This will disable the login prompt altogether.

thank you BI support.

Wow. This had been crushing me since the upgrade to 5.2.5.3. Thank goodness I stumbled across this tidbit.
