Re: settings for Blue Iris and OpenVPN
Hi Calibear, I also run OpenVpn on my router (Asus RT-AC86U running Merlin firmware) for BI5. It really is as simple as making BI think your phone is on your home network when you are away. So, to try to unravel this: 1. Does your phone (I'm assuming the "remote device" is a mobile phone) ...

Re: Android TV client (Leanback)
Well I guess I can close this thread now. I decided to try an Amazon 4k fire stick as they were at 50% discount = £25 on Prime day. Simple logic, I could sell it for more than that if it didn't work. So, I checked UI3 on the default browser. Nice ! I installed the Emby client - just WOW compared to ...

Re: Clean new install of v5 have issues or only from "upgrades"
My system is an upgrade from BI4 to BI5, and it is stable. There were a few wobbles at the time, but rock solid now.

Re: BI 5.0.0.61 dead
I'm running BI 5.0.0.61 with Win10 Pro, but don't yet have 1903 though I can see it as an available download. I don't think I want to try it yet

Re: Help files access
Hi ronc,
At the top left hand side of the main BI5 screen, you will see a question mark. Give it a click.

Re: Turning on a light when BI5 sends an alert?
I was surprised that Homeseer hadn't mentioned it in an email, else I would have posted about it earlier. I would have missed it myself without this thread. As for new threads, I understand that your first few posts will be checked before they can appear - it could be that during this time you canno...

Re: Android App - Failing to connect
Yes, that would explain it !
Sometime ago, I noticed addresses in China and Russia attempting to log in to BI4. I have now closed all ports, and use OpenVPN for remote access. No more naughty people in my logs

I think it was the Doorbird camera that was mentioned here before the big forum crash. A bit large for most houses

Re: Foscam R2 Cameras - walled garden
Mine is working OK today, but I wonder if yours has rebooted and had its firmware updated ? I don't want to reboot mine now
I do have mine hard wired to the server though, as the wifi kept dropping the camera out.

Re: Android App - Failing to connect
Hi Daran,
Assuming you are on wifi on the same network, have you set up your LAN IP and port in the android app ? I tend to keep my Windows server on a static ip to stop it moving around. Have you set up a mobile user in BI5 and used the same user and password in the android app too ?
