Re: CPU usage surges when running as service
I am running 14 cameras on W10 with a moderate system. I run BI as a service and use AI installed on another system. All cameras are set up to are set for 1080P (even the 4K) and use substreams, a huge difference on cpu. With the BI console closed and 3 computers using the UI to monitor, and all cam...

Never done such but I have seen this in the help pdf under Administration/http interface. Not sure how it could be tied to groups.

Re: why do some people use an NVR in conjunction with Blue Iris?
I think I posted this once before. We inherited 8 cameras and NVR when we moved in (business site). All but one of the cameras had default passwords. Moved the m to BI. Couldn't access the remaining one. So, I followed procedure to reset the password in the NVR but maintain all other configs. When t...

Re: Only 5sec recording since version 5.8.5.8
File a support report and stay back.
We stay at least 2 levels back, usually more. I do have a "lab" system that I keep up to the latest for test purposes.
You probably have some hardware/software combination that they couldn't test.

Re: Ethernet POE switch selection
Make sure you read the fine print. Many of the switches have 16 ports but only 8 of them are POE. Like Tim advises, add up the power requirements.
We have a Netgear 16 port and it is working OK.

Re: Adding models to codeproject
If you are using a late version of CP/AI using the their install program on your BI system, it should be filled in for you. I am running it on another system via a docker image and fill it in myself. AIR, in my case the folder I reference just contains dummy model files, CP/AI uses its own location ...
