New AI Tools fork by vorloncd
Does anyone know if Vorloncd is on this forum or what I'm doing wrong with the newest fork of AI Tools 1.81? While trying to setup my cameras in AI Tools 1.81 I get an error when pressing the Actions Settings button: 847C5255-F71C-456F-B0FE-91A4F64F891B.png See the end of this message for details on...

Re: Your advice/opinion
Can I hijack this thread a little bit to ask for some advice about cameras? I’ve recently learned of Dahua and am pretty impressed with the prices. Very interesting to read here about the 2MP camera low light performance. I’d like to install a couple cameras outside of my house and one of the speci...

Re: Hardware for 32 Cameras
I don't have any experience using Blue Iris however from the current threads I have looked up, it seems as though the CPU utility is quite heavy for this task. As I have mentioned before, when I was first researching Blue iris, I found many internet articles asking why BI was so cpu hungry compared...

Re: Request: Change to IOS BI Mobile App
I just noticed in the iOS app you can click the gear on the main screen to modify system settings and there is an option to turn on Use full date/time format which looks to do what your asking. Although you may need to pull down on the alerts screen to refresh it the first time.

Re: Request: Change to IOS BI Mobile App
Within the app you can press the ? In the navigation bar at the bottom and send feedback to support which would be the quickest way to get your request read. Also if your camera has the ability to overlay the date and time it may help in the interim.

Re: Window 10 Update has stopped Blue Iris starting up
I updated my BI server from Windows 10 1909 to 2004 and the October patches two nights ago and yesterday noticed that my BI server running ver 5.3.2.8 was no longer sending the MQTT commands when motion was triggered even though all other alerting was working and if I pasted the same command into a ...

Re: How to upgrade and move to another computer
I'd probably backup from 4 and shutdown the service, upgrade to 5 then load 5 amd backup again which would be the file I'd restore on the new machine. Uninstall 4 from the old machine which will likely deregister it anyway. Hopefully your old system and new system are both 64bit otherwise that chang...

Re: High CPU Utilization
I had been using a 3rd gen i5 processor for a while with 8 cameras at the time and it was running around 90% CPU most of the time with Direct to disk and using Intel GPU offloading for all the cameras and no AI. I upgraded to an 7th gen i7 and with 15 cameras now it is usually between 20 and 30% CPU...

Re: Your advice/opinion
GentlePumpkin did a great write up, unfortunately it's on the other site, just search for "[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris" It doesn't cause any noticeable CPU spike until motion is detected and it's processing an image, on windy days with shadows causing many came...

Re: Your advice/opinion
I'm running 15 cameras, most of which are Dahua Starlight 2MP cameras with a few 4mp or higher cameras. I prefer the 2MP Starlight cameras for their superior low light vision. As far as BI being worth it, the only tiny hassle is the monthly Windows updates. I am also running DeepStack and AI Tools t...
