Re: 'C:\ProgramData\Blue Iris\temp' folder.
Hmmm, I don't even have a C:\ProgramData\Blue Iris\temp folder. (??) Just recently, this folder path was created, possible after version 5.1.0.0. I noticed when Blue Iris updates to a newer version, it downloads the Update.exe file to this folder instead of the Program folder C:\Program Files\Blue ...

Re: Video Skips
During playback I very frequently lose minutes of playback. I am not sure why. Please see the below video, at 3:39:00 it skips ahead a few minutes and I lose footage. This happens on multiple cameras. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyBE00xSyb4 Are you recording by "when Triggered" with t...

Re: 5.1.0.1 - System tray icon missing?
If I roll back my version to an earlier version, then the Blue Iris icon properly appears in the System Tray. Out of curiosity, how does one roll back to a previous version? It's mentioned on pg 165 in the manual, but there are no specifics on how to actually do it. When the Blue Iris app updates t...

Re: 5.1.0.1 - System tray icon missing?
I am also encountering this issue since updating to v5.1.0.1 x64. The Blue Iris icon in the System Tray is present, but invisible. If I roll back my version to an earlier version, then the Blue Iris icon properly appears in the System Tray. This problem can not be fixed by deleting the IconCache.db ...

Re: Macros and Presets
Is there a way to use a macro to drive the camera to a given preset? For example, can we run a macro every hour to force the camera to its Home position or to a specific Preset position? You should be able to use the Schedule feature as MikeBwca pointed out. BI5 Camera Schedule.jpg BI5 Camera Sched...

Re: BI Records Person, but not a Moving Broom...?
Make sure you are not using "Edge Vector" algorithm in Blue Iris camera settings -> Trigger -> Motion Sensor. I would recommend using "Simple", it is the most reliable. Dont use Edge Vector.jpg I would not bother using "Object detection" unless you are using Zones (Zone...

Re: User Account Cleanup
I am finally cleaning up some of our user accounts in the blue iris software and I noticed there is one called local_console that is an admin type. I did not originally set up this box but I want to know if the local console account is required to keep the software running or if it is safe to disab...

Re: Backup Blue Iris 5 Settings
The BackupBI5v2.CMD (version 2.1) utility has been updated to additionally backup Blue Iris settings now stored in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key in addition to the settings stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. The settings are saved in a REGEDIT file that includes the version and BIT architecture and ...
