I just bought a couple of IPC-T3241T-ZAS from Andy as add-ons to my older 5231s. $136 ea and he shipped them to my house in just a few days.
Their model numbers seem pretty complex for me to figure out the differences.
I'm happy so far and a bonus is that they have sound.

Re: Audio in live view, but not clip playback
Ugh, Google photos sucks in that you can't get a simple link to a photo. They force you to use their "portal" and my Imgur account is giving me problems now too.
I'll fix the images soon.

Audio in live view, but not clip playback
Hi crew. I just got my first cam with audio (Andy is great with his Dahua cams). I live mode via UI3 I can hear the audio fine. But not in playback. I made sure that the speed is only 1x which I heard is a common problem. Any ideas? Here are my settings... In BI5: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1...

Is BI primarily targeted for home users?
Completely different way of using it?
BI has an insecure and unacceptable way of creating user accounts.

Re: CPU overload
HeneryH - You can change the motion size. Eg you can make it so a cat won't triggers it but a large dog would etc. You can also remove the tree from the motion trigger. I do this with 2 trees that blow around, if the tree grows too much you might have to increase the area but normally works fine. M...

Re: CPU overload
On VBR, I have never been able to scientifically approach the proper settings. By its very nature, scene content will dictate what the final product looks like for any given setting. I am left with trial and error focusing on scene clips where motion is present. A front yard with a tree on a calm da...

Re: CPU overload
Heres another trick for you if you want to save disk space and save some CPU time. For each of your cameras copy them. So you have two of each, for the second one call that camera1SD and on those record, the substream "lower res feed from camera" set that to record 24/7 and go back into y...

Re: Hardware for 32 Cameras
I don't think this is necessary at all. Memory (16gb) was never a problem for me. Others can opine but I wanted to call this out for debate/discussion.
edit - Ehhh, maybe for high camera counts it could be. I never ran that many.
