Re: Hacking the Wyze V2
I swapped the lens on one of my Wyze cams and I got what I think are mixed results. The field of view is slightly wider, but not much. It's hardly noticeable, I was hoping for a lot more FOV. The clarity and focus, however, is much much better than the stock Wyze cam. Maybe my stock Wyze cam needs t...

Re: Macros and Presets
You should be able to use the Schedule feature as MikeBwca pointed out. Thanks, Reddawg (and MikeBwca). I'll look at setting up a schedule and see what happens. I don't usually move any of the cameras; it's more of an initialization/reset thing I want to have happen to bring everything back to a &q...

Re: Macros and Presets
Cool, thanks Tim. It looks like I could cobble up a decent Homeseer startup package for under $1000, so the cost itself isn't a problem. The issue for me is the time it would take for me to get everything set up and working, tweak stuff the way I want it, etc. I may look into it later this year but ...

Re: The solution to many of life's little problems
This is good to know. I wish the devices also provided PoE to the end device. There are some that do, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Powerline-Supports-TPL-331EP-TPL-331EP2K/dp/B0796ZJPJ7/ These work quite well. I've been using TrendNet's 'Powerline 1200 AV2 Access Point' adapters. 1...

The solution to many of life's little problems
Check it out: Ethernet over powerline for the home. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-AV600-Powerline-WiFi-Extender/dp/B00HSQAIQU/ tplinkAV600.png Okay, so maybe it's not the end-all, be-all solution to everything but this gadget like it will solve some of the cable-pulling issues I'm facing. I've seen...

Re: iPhone Push Notifications Not Working - 1/30/2020
I export my settings before and after every change, and then I store them on my NAS and in a local directory as well. I also export the router config from time to time as I set static IPs for the cams. Setting the whole thing up from scratch would be a huge pain in the butt. I had the same issue. Wh...

Re: Atomic PI
I've not used an Atomic PI, but after checking the specs it looks kinda iffy to me for running something like BI. With that said, apparently it beats the pants off the Raspberry PI and has some impressive hardware for the price (under $35): Atom quad-core processor with 2Gb ram and 16GB Flash on boa...

I think this was just fixed in the latest update, 5.0.9.2.

Macros and Presets
Is there a way to use a macro to drive the camera to a given preset?
For example, can we run a macro every hour to force the camera to its Home position or to a specific Preset position?

Re: Hacking the Wyze V2
Thank you for the link! The last time I looked Amazon said they were unavailable and they didn't know if or when they'd be available again. Grrrr. So I saw your link and *boom* went there and ordered one on the spot, lol. Maybe I should get a second one while they're still available. :) The WA lense...
