Best practice would be to send BI support an email with the errors/logs.

Re: Encountered an Improper Object
Occasionally, I get the 'Invalid argument'. It's so vague and I cannot reproduce it, that I haven't reported it.

Re: BI 5 Feature suggestion thread
Feature suggestion: add a small, free-form "notes" field for each camera. This field hold arbitrary notes on things like the camera location, particular features for that cam, notes on the config/setup, etc. For example, I'd like to be able to note which cams have H265 available, or what ...

Re: How to view old BI recordings
You have two options....
- Double-click the .bvr file and it will open & play in BI.
- Drag and Drop the bvr file anyplace in the BI console.

Re: Hardware acceleration (QSV/NVENC) vs direct to disk for lower CPU load?
D2D will defiantly use less cpu as it doesn't re-encode the video.
I don't think the new bvr metadata uses any significant amount of cpu.

Re: 5.2.8.1 update - Crashes BI - RESOLVED
Update. Turns out, that yes, I do things a bit differently..... I use keyboard shortcuts, and one of those is to toggle overlays using CTL-O. Being that BI D2D now uses metadata for the overlays, the camera MUST be reset when toggling the overlays (as the video format changes), which the keyboard sh...

Re: Hardware acceleration (QSV/NVENC) vs direct to disk for lower CPU load?
... Direct-to-Disk is ALMOST a no-lose option and the only thing you give up by going to D2D is the BI generated overlays being recorded to disk. Everything else works fine. If you want the overlays and skip D2D then you essentially double the amount of encode/decode power you need. Not worth it in...

Re: Database "DB" folder too big
Our system is setup with a small "NEW" SSD drive "C" 250gb and a huge "Stored" drive of 21tb. The OS is on the C drive. we have allocated 90gb to NEW with an age limit of 8 hrs. This has worked fine until last night when we got cannot write messages in the status. Upon...
