BI 5.0.2.5 Crashes...

Today, I received around 6 BI crashes when viewing the timeline from earlier today. The 'RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64' is interesting. Anyone else having this? I sent a support email to Bi. From event viewer... - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="A...

Re: Solar IP cam recommendations

I have no experience with this camera, but have looked at it for possible uses. The Reolink Wire-Free Argus2 is a rechargeable battery outdoor wireless HD camera. It has an option for a solar panel to make it 100% isolated with no need to visit it (to swap batteries). To me it looks like a good choi...

Re: Blue Iris 5 Update Crashing

When you uninstalled, did you also choose to remove all settings? This doesn;t help you now, but... Before any BI update, I always... - export the BI settings via the Settings general tab. - backup the BI Windows registry settings. - backup the BI program files folder. There is a backup/restore feat...

Re: Forum Recommedations for Blue Iris

I had a similar experience as TimG at the forum ipcamstalks , being banned.

It's an excellent forum with lots of information. If you choose to go there, just go along with the 'party line'.

Re: HDD Setup for BI

WD Purple drives are designed for surveillance systems, to write up to 64 continuous streams. I have 11 cameras all streaming to a 4tb Seagte Skyhawk with no issues. My previous drive was a 2 tb WD purple - again with no issues. If you want to split up your cameras to multiple drives.... 1. Go to BI...

Re: Synchronize camera's IR with Blue Iris day/night profiles?

Can you turn on/off the IR's using the 'IR Lights' button in the bottom left under the cameres and above the timeline? 2019-09-08 at 22-48-25.png You can use the 'Event Schedule' in the 'Schedules' tab for the cameras to turn IR lights, Contrast, Brightness, on/off. And, set it to be relative to sun...

v5.0.2.5 & Schedule

Anyone else notice the Schedule tab is a bit funky with the latest update? Still works fine.

Re: 24h time / overlay issue in BI5

I tested this in V4 and I think the result was that it exported/reencoded d2d witht he cameras current date/time... which was totally inaccurate. Tested again in V5 after reading this post, and it correctly exported re-encoding a d2d, and, correctly applied the data/time overlay from the original d2...

Re: 30 second wait time and CPU lag

To be more specific, with avi files, the timestamp only disappears when the videos are exporting direct-to-disc. With 4 cameras recording in avi direct to disc, the CPU stays around 40% not direct to disc, the CPU jumps to around 70%. Is there a setting I'm not seeing to specify that the video shou...
