Do you have the 'Run as a service' option in Bi set?

Re: Starting BI from a script runs it in the background?

This sounds like the behavior if option 'Run as a Windows Service' is checked in the BI Settings 'Startup' tab.
- BI Will run as a service without the console.
- Double-click the BI icon to start the console. Exiting will close the console only. The service remains running.

Re: Forum extremely slow again...

Not sure where talking about the same forum. The hostility was mainly from the forums owner/admin.
This is a nice friendly place here. Don't want to antagonize anyone, or, start a flame war.

Re: Forum extremely slow again...

Yes, the forum 'that shall not be mentioned', run by 'the name that shall not be mentioned'. It's an excellent forum with good information. However, it's a hostile environment. It's good that BI has it's own official forum. Originally, the forum was fast & quick. Then there was a database corruption...

Re: Windows 10 Repair Disc - No Keyboard/Mouse

Tested with my 2nd Desktop. Downloaded the latest Windows MediaCretionTool 1909, and wrote to a USB Seagate Cruzer Glide 3.0 16g. This contains the installation for Windows 10 Pro & Home, as well as the Windows Recovery. I re-imaged my 2nd desktop using the USB MediaRecovery. - Used a SSD drive with...

Re: Getting close to a final config/solution

Running as a service would meet your needs.

You can still view locally by double clicking the BI icon. And, you can 'close' BI - which closes the BI console, but leaves the service running.
Remotely & UI3 would work as usual.
