Re: Constant Overallocated Storage

I've moved the DB to the 3TB and performed another repair. I also found one camera had 5 months of videos still in the New folder and never rotated over. I've moved that video footage out. It's fine now but I don't want to keep doing this every few weeks.

Re: Constant Overallocated Storage

Sorry for the delay, Idalia wanted to come for a visit. Luckily we were spared hurricane force winds but we have clients and family that didn't fare as well. It's keeping us busy for the time being. I'll try to keep up with this thread. In addition, we were just notified that BI lost the config of 2...

Re: Constant Overallocated Storage

I've attached the drive configuration. This was posted after the db was fixed. Normally it clears up. This time it didn't. The DB is located at the usual c:\Blueiris\db. The C: is an SSD. I figured this was a good solution but maybe it being on an SSD is an issue? I'm moving it to D:\BIDB which is a...

Constant Overallocated Storage

I've been fighting a problem for months/years at this point. I've asked support about this several times and each time I'm told to just update the software and rebuild the DB. Everything is just a temporary fix and then it comes back. I could some solid support on this one. I have a unit that is con...

Re: To NVIDIA or Not

Adding the substreams doesn't seem to make a difference. I've struggled with the i-frame situation as I've seen several guides give differing information. Right now, all streams and substreams have FPS and i-frames at 10.

Re: To NVIDIA or Not

There are 4 cameras offline at the moment since I have a leg of the wireless bridge down but the rest are up there. There are 23 cameras shown, a few that are Mobotix cameras with dual lenses in single streams. 2 are busted and need to be replaced. Once these are all up there are plans to add 4 more...

Re: To NVIDIA or Not

- What is the difference in cpu usage when the BI window id open, and when it it minimized? --- About 15% CPU usage - How many cameras are D2D? And, how many are encoding and at what rates? Encoding takes way more cpu. --- All cameras are D2D except 1. It won't actually record unless it is set to re...

To NVIDIA or Not

I have a Lenovo with a Xeon 1245v5 that is choking on my cameras so I need to upgrade. I have 27 lenses, most at 2MP, and 10fps with Direct-to-Disc on and I'm pegged at 100% if the BI interface is up and a user is looking at the cameras in the web interface. Would adding an Nvidia GPU help a lot, or...

Re: Your advice/opinion

First off, 16 cameras isn't small, especially for a house. Don't sell yourself short. If you're going to go with a pre-canned kit then look at the Dahua or the Hikvision units. They are going to be worlds better than something you can buy at a superstore. The reason those displays cram a bunch of ca...
