Ever heard of "IVC" cameras?

This looks interesting but it's also $995  For that much money you could buy a complete BI system from top to bottom including cameras and cable. A ton of money for one (1) camera with modest specs? I'll pass. https://ivcco.com/products/mz-hd34-3/ https://www.ktvn.com/story/43535098/industria...

Re: Minor glitch

I wonder if it is anything to do with your anti virus solution :? I'm not running any AV except what comes with Windows. There was another person who mentioned seeing the "stopping service" issue but I suspect it's something that's config specific for certain combinations of gear and timi...

Minor glitch

I noticed that BI wouldn't start the download for the latest update. Clicking the upgrade button did nothing, no effect. Restarting BI and clicking the upgrade button again got it to continue. Not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it. Also, this bug is still appearing: https://blueirissoftware.co...

Re: Not connecting to RCA Doorbell cam after update

After a little nosing around, I found that the latest update changed the IP setting for this one camera.

According to the router and the camera web interface the cam is still on its assigned IP; manually changing the setting in BI fixed the issue. Weird, but not fatal.

Not connecting to RCA Doorbell cam after update

I have the RCA Video doorbell and after the latest update, BI will no longer connect to the camera at all, displaying the error "8000274c (Failed to connect) 0". Nothing changed in my system, only the update. Any suggestions, or just wait to see if the next update fixes it? Doorbell cam: h...

This search on Amazon shows pinhole IP cams that I considered promising:

Re: Data Folder on Flash Drive okay (Theft Protection)?

I shuffle my files up to a hidden NAS. Yes, if someone was reeeeeeeally determined they might find it, but I doubt it. It's really tucked away and the cabling is all in-wall so it would be tough to find. It's also not in a recognizable NAS-enclosure so even if someone did see it, they probably would...

Re: Dell PowerEdge T40 server

For ~$350 or so, that seems like a decent amount of bang for the buck.

Re: Mjpeg wide angle ip camera?

This is an insanely wide angle cam: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZYS1TL8/ I use two to cover the entire front and side area of my property. They're not hi-res but they do have a crazy wide angle view, about 150°or so. And cheap, about $70. I like the Hikvision DS-2CD2345G0P-I....it's got muc...
