Our Ring doorbell was completely removed from the wall last night and guess what ? There is no video recording of it happening!
I have mine on a tamper switch, hooked to a thingy that has the words "FRONT TOWARD ENEMY" printed on it.

Re: A way to receive 4 cameras

I use the BI web interface for 99% of everything I do on my remote computer once it is initially set up and running in steady state. Does that require two licenses or just one? I want to (eventually) put my BI setup on the web so I can view the cameras remotely, but I'm not quite there yet. Am I go...

Re: Change/replace hard disk help

I don't know if this would work, but maybe try adjusting the storage limits so it thinks it has enough space (and stops complaining), then increase the limits back to where they were. I recently replaced my hard drive via cloning. Blue Iris 4 is now upset because it believes that the C: is over full...

Re: Cacagoo 1536P on BI3

It seems like it has ONVIF capability, so that would be one place to start. Find the IP and do a Find/Inspect on that IP. I also found this in the Amazon Q&A: "First, you need to connect the security camera to the computer, search the camera with the professional search tool (SearchTool), and then d...

You might want to start a new topic for future questions since we have held this Reolink topic hostage for a while.
Sounds good, maybe I'll start a thread for enclosures and mounting ideas.

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good

That looks like a good, durable, weatherproof enclosure. Do those lock somehow? I'd worry about someone lifting it out and running off with it. This also looks like it might work: https://www.homedepot.com/p/4-in-x-4-in-x-4-in-Junction-Box-R5133709/202043437 It's 4"x4"x4", which seems like it would ...

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good

Here's how to make a simple and inexpensive outdoor mount for the Foscam R2 or similarly shaped cameras. It's super-durable, water-tight (if done properly), and weather-resistant. 1) Buy a 3" diameter ABS cleanout adapter fitting (about $3). 2) Drill a hole in the center of the cleanout plug's cap; ...

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good

I really, really, really wish that the Foscam and Amcrest cameras had POE built in. I know they're primarily intended for wifi, but it sure would be handy. I also found a way to make a very nice, very rugged outdoor mount for the Foscam cameras, and I'll post some pics here as soon as I pull them to...

Re: Reolink RLC-420-5MP - so far so good

NOT FOR POE! POE devices use all 8 wires where normal ethernet devices only uses 4 of the 8 wires. In order for these to work on a POE camera, you would have to have a POE injector at or near each camera to supply the power to the cameras which means you would have to have a power source near by. I...
