Re: Config/resource goof.

There may not be much load on the GPU. You select 'Intel' as the hardware acceleration preference in the Cameras tab of the main BI settings window. Then select 'default' for 'Hardware decode' in each camera's video configuration. You can alternatively leave the blanket default entry in the main BI ...

Re: Config/resource goof.

Open Task Manager and check the Performance tab for both a CPU and a GPU. If there's an active GPU, QuickSync is enabled. The BI Status window will also display an 'I' in the HA column if Intel is selected as the default processor and/or either 'Default' or 'Intel' are selected in the camera 's Hard...

Re: Recording only during daylight hours

There are a couple ways to do this. The simplest is probably what is shown below. Record Schedule.jpg The normal green active Profile 1 is the period of recording by virtue of the Record settings of the camera if it is set to record. Just schedule the desired start and stop time points accordingly u...

Re: BI Computer Purchase

Pogo will be displeased  To the contrary, I'm delighted the OP has arrived at a solution for his particular issue. Trust me, I share his frustration, albeit at the other end of the stream in the 4K UHD realm rather than the sub stream..., with a 22 camera system, not just 2 cameras running wit...

Re: BI Computer Purchase

Because during my own personal fault finding, I found BI5 gpu acceleration to be highly sensitive to drivers, making it the first thing to turn off while fault finding trying to find the problem. I think that's a reach even by the most diehard BI purists. Sensitive to drivers? But I'll agree with t...

Re: BI Computer Purchase

I would tend to agree..., not the hardware, anyway. Drivers, maybe. BIOS, highly unlikely. Configuration, probable. I guess my main question would be why all the attention being paid to the sub stream quality in the first place if the main stream is performing as it should..., which I personally fin...

Re: BI Computer Purchase

Switch to H.264 on the original setup and see if that helps. There's also more CPU/GPU BI config busywork going on than is typical which may actually be confusing the issue.

Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through for your secondary solution otherwise.

Re: Is there a Roku App or FireTV app for BI (Or in development)

tinyCam works great if you don't mind a reduced frame rate. Image quality is still very good. The key is to use a decent streaming device with a little more horsepower than just a basic Firestick. The 4K Firestick will do the job as will the current GoogleTV and AndroidTV devices. The earlier and ch...

Re: Canceled Amazon Prime BDS (Billionaire Donation Service)

We use Amazon a lot since Covid. Our Amazon Prime Visa card cash back savings (5%) on Amazon purchases pays for Prime Membership several times over during the course of a year with an annual limit of $120,000.00. If you qualify for their card and use it for nothing else, it still makes sense to get ...
