Re: Alert image with unique filename using macro

If I was doing this, I would only copy to 1 FTP server, then sync the files from the 1st FTP server to the second. so: 1. FTP the alert image to FTP Server #1 2. FTP Server #1 has a script that monitors for new files 3. Once new files are found, they are copied to FTP server #2 If you are using anyt...

Re: Android App

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling, or clearing the data from the app?

Re: VPN

As a new user, I would support that! As someone who runs a support department for a software company, I would love having a forum where users could help each other as a first stop (due to the secure nature of our software, that is not possible). But it somewhat becomes...well, maybe not worthless, b...

Re: VPN

We'll see - he made one post and disappeared so it's like the blind men feeling an elephant. Yeah, I think it is because the forum doesn't email people when they have a reply, so unless you come back and check manually you have no idea that a reply has been posted. Is there a forum moderator that c...

Re: VPN

It somewhat depends on how his VPN actually works. There are so many possibilities, it is hard to tell. But ultimately, if the VPN allows him to connect to their home network, then it should work. If, on the other hand, it simply routes traffic through a VPN server in the cloud somewhere (which is v...

Re: VPN

Some 'surfing privacy' VPN's will allow you to selectively use the VPN on only specific connections or apps, but it doesn't look like CyberGhost has that feature - at least not from the 3 minutes of googling I have done. The only option in this case (that I can think of at least) is to enable remote...

Re: Possible to stream to other software?

I should also add that there is significant latency when using this feature. roughly 3 seconds. For most things, that probably won't matter, but some may find it too much. I haven't found a way to reduce it yet.

Re: Thumbnails on timeline?

Turns out I was wrong also, I do get images on my watch from the app. It must have started after I got the jpgs on the timeline (I think we just came full circle). I use the reverse proxy for a variety of services on my network, so it was already ready to go, so it was easy to set up. I also like to...

Re: Possible to stream to other software?

I set mine up so that authentication wasn't required on the local LAN. That's the only way I could get it to work. I'm sure there is a way to make it work other ways, but for me, this works fine.

Re: Possible to stream to other software?

Thanks. I found it. For those looking, in the current help file you will find it on page 225. It is under the Administration section, at the end of the 'HTTP Interface' sub-section. It states: RTSP server You may request an RTSP stream from your HTTP port as well with the URI format /{cam- short-nam...
