Re: Operating Systems

Hi all, what Operating systems are supported by BlueIris, and specifically is Server 2012R2 Supported? Website only says "Microsoft Windows 7 or newer OS (equivalent server OS as well)". I suspect that Windows 7 will no longer be supported by Blue Iris after its EOL has expired on January 14, 2020....

Re: V4 to V5 Upgrade Procedure

Thanks for this info. Good thing I asked. How long can you run V5 with V4 installed just to ensure everything is working hours, days a week? I would prefer to test it for at least a few days or more before I remove V4. You can keep V4 installed as long as you want and it will not cause a problem un...

Re: V4 to V5 Upgrade Procedure

I have decided the time is right to go forward with V5 upgrade. I am currently running V4. Is there a documented procedure on how to accomplish this with the least amount of fallout. I looked in the V5 manual and did not see anything. I would like to know what to expect to allow me to have a backup...

Re: 5.0.5.6 x64 feedback and bugs

Actually, after removing the 'object travels' and 'object size exceeds' the gate A-B zones is working - guess that was stopping it for some reason. Thanks! Your very welcome. Glad you got it working. The "Object Travels" setting is the number of pixels the object has to travel in order to trigger m...

Re: 5.0.5.6 x64 feedback and bugs

Further note on Zone crossings: If you create two zones, Zone A (road) and Zone B (driveway), they should not overlap each other. If they do, this could cause problems where motion doesn't trigger. Here is how you should setup your zones. 1. From Blue Iris camera settings -> Trigger tab -> Configure...

Re: 5.0.5.6 x64 feedback and bugs

I have 7 cameras, one of which I use twice (with different zones), this is on a gate post. One of the instances is 'road' and the other is 'gate'.' Gate' triggers if someone enters the gate, 'Road' records every car that drives up my (private) road. 1. The zones (ie A->B etc) don't seem to work. I ...

Re: Cross a line

Here are some good YouTube videos from HomeTech Video on Blue Iris Zone Crossing that should answer your question. It based on Blue Iris 4, but is still applicable to Blue Iris 5.
