What protection does Xfinity give you over Norton? Or, are you referring to the Xfinity modem/router?

Re: Programmatic API overlays
In BI Settings, go to the 'Macros' tab.
Note:
You can have more than the 9 macros listed. You will need to go into the Windows registry branch 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Perspective Software\Blue Iris\Macros' and manually add them.

With Version 5.3.7.13... I can confirm the 'Temp time' field has been limited to 5 characters with a max value of '99999'.
Note:
If you enter a zero '0', the temp time will be infinite, AND, the icon will change to the HOLD red square.

Going to the Way-Back-Before-Time, eh? lol
I still have my Amiga 3000 sitting off to the side. Complete with monitor, floppy drives, and, tape backup system. Been sitting there for years - I should turn it on and play around with it. It's been so long the hard drive is probably seized!

Re: P2p setting contacts foreign IPs - Foscam and Reolink Cameras
Yes, I had tested this with a second NIC and my cameras on it to isolate them from going to the internet. I was still able to update firmware via the host computer.
Wouldn't a VLan do the same same thing?

Re: P2p setting contacts foreign IPs - Foscam and Reolink Cameras
Let me understand this...
Are you saying that even unchecking the P2P option, the camera will STILL go out to some (as of yet) unknown server?
I'll need to check the router logs, nd set up some traces.

This will be corrected in an upcoming update.
I opened a ticket with BI Support. The field will be limited to 6 digets. Max value '999999'. So, you must have had 7 9's, which was an invalid value.

My first modem was a 300 baud!
