Re: Help with SAS Disk ?

It would be helpful to know the model of the LSI controller.

Anyway, Easy Peasy... do a search for 'sas cable'. Many on Amazon/eBay'.

If your SAS drive supports 'Sata mode', you can use a sas to sata cable! no controller needed. Neat, huh?

Re: Need help adding a remote camera. Desperate!

Did you get this resolved? On site A... - Log into the cameras gui and get the the IP & port #. These are the actual #'s used by the camera - no matter what BI says. Also get the RTSP & ONVIF port #'s. - Get the cameras 'Video/Configure' screenshot. This is the actual working ip:port, make/model. It...

Re: Adjusting motion sensor settings

Yes, exactly. You get it. Also, note that the 'Object travel' is also detected in the G zone that connects zones A & B together - which also includes the gap that is not effected by the zone crossing. You can also extend the G zone out further so that the 'Object Travels' and 'min. duration' will be...

Re: On Alert Action Image sizes...

lol. ic. I've also gotten multiple images when the motion is long. I've not noticed a difference in sizes. When I'm testing settings that I find are weird and/or acting strangely, I usually set up a camera next to the BI server and set it up with those settings. Makes it easier to test. I test away ...

Re: Dual monitor

If you only want a monitor by the registers to view (which is standard), the cheapest and easiest way would be to get a splitter and split the monitor cable going from the bi server to both the bi server monitor, and the monitor by the cashiers area. You'll probably need to get a IP splitter since i...

Re: Stand Alone BVR Player for recorded BVR's.

Not that I know of. I've tried different video prgms. There is a way. 1. In the main BI server, set up additional Users like 'Dept1', Dept2'... 2. Set these as non-admin, uncheck 'ptz/control' or your cameras will go cray when they all try to move them around. Check 'View recorded clips'. 3. If you ...

Re: Adjusting motion sensor settings

Motion settings is a Quagmire (Gigitty)... What is the resolution on the camera? 'Object travels pixel'.. this is pixel not the squares. If your resolution is high, then 200 pixels would be a very small distance compared to a lower resolution. You can calc 'Object travels pixels' by deciding what di...

Re: On Alert Action Image sizes...

I've only done 1 image every 1 second.

Doing more than 1 image every second is necessary? I realize you probably want a good idea of what is going on... 1 image every second would be suffient.
