Re: Minimize PC CPU usage
If your purpose is surveillance versus watching pretty pictures: 1. Use sub streams. When you bring up a single camera, it switches to full. 2. Likewise, in your record setting for each camera, use substream plus alerts. Alerts will be in full stream. 3. Use direct to disk recording for each camera....

Re: Alerts play unrelated clips
Is the associated DAT file correct when you drop it on the AI page? IIRC, you will lose all alerts from the database when you delete/rebuild, only the AI alerts show will up after the rebuild. The clip is still included in the bvr file but can be hard to find. I consider this a good argument for usi...

Re: hidden active cameras
1. Camera Settings, check the hidden box.
2. Create a group without that camera and show that group instead of All Cameras.

Re: BlueIris.exe constantly sending to Amazon AWS ec2 instances
Well, my real answer, about blueiris.exe, is "I don't know". But here is a SWAG based on my experience with cameras and NVRs: To access your device from the Internet, like from your phone, the phone normally would connect via your router. The router is, or should be blocking ports. So, the...

Re: XCP-ng performance loss vs ESXi
No experience with XCP-ng. You might try seeing what cpu load you get with BI and no cameras, compared to a similar set up in ESXi. We are beginning to test with proxmox to replace ESXi, down the road. For those who are not familiar with ESXi: Vmware was bought out by Broadcom. They did away with th...
