Re: abouts Cameras, in BI, with ptz and dual rtsp and NO cloud!

Well in short... I disable everything possible but still do not trust my cameras so they aren't allowed to go out, period. My cameras query DNS and NTP for their own good, but I keep that contained to my own network. But yes, it's very very common for cameras (especially cheaper ones) to have this c...

Re: CPU 100%

No keyframes! What does BlueIris Status/Camera tab say for the cameras FPS/Key column? Thats why I asked for the Cameras tab on Nov 23. If the Keyframes are set too frequent, as is often the case, the Limit Decoding option is FAR less effective. If a console, UI3, mobile app, etc is open somewhere ...

Re: Recommended hardware configuration for 43 cameras

The lag problem I experienced was from motion sensor algorithm. I am using "simple" now instead of "Edge Vector", and it hasn't missed any movement, yet. Thanks for the update. Made me double check mine... mine is also set to "simple". Some of these settings are certainly above my head but for the ...

Re: Lost my HD w/ver 3.66 should I upgrade?

I can't particularly give advice as I've only ever known v5 but I know for me that it would eat at me that I was two major releases behind - especially if building from scratch. In reading about people that have used v4... yes there are differences and after being on an older version so long, there ...

Re: CPU 100%

The Blue Iris Status > Cameras tab may help provide some additional details on your setup but since you mention it runs pretty lean most of the time... but then spikes, it sounds like it might be something other than BI itself? Do you have an AV client running on this system? It may be trying to sca...

Re: Need advice on some specs for NVR

You have a lot of flexibility but I'd say an Intel i-Series CPU... for 20 cameras I'd recommend an i7 7or i9, the newer the better but make sure it supports Intel QSV. To throw a spec out there, I'd say 8th gen or newer. Motherboard.... anything that supports the CPU you pick. RAM... 12GB or more wo...

Re: Blue Iris integration with Google TV?

Yeah I wasn't sure about just using UI3 or perhaps setting up a web server to allow direct feed access. I do not have an actual GoogleTV device yet but I've been using Chromecasts for years and the existing android app allows me to cast a feed very easily already. It works well if you just want to w...

Re: 5.3.3.16 Update Failed

I attempted to download again this morning and it failed (never showed any progress in downloading anything). After a fresh reboot of the entire system, the download worked fine and updated successfully. I guess/think something in the process was stuck with the .15 update and a service restart would...

5.3.3.16 Update Failed

Has anyone had 5.3.3.16 fail to update?

I have an error code in messages, "Update failed: 80000190", which is obviously very informative. I've tried to run the update twice and it failed both times.

Coming from 5.3.3.15 btw and yes my support is current.

Re: PC spec to new setup 5 - 7 camera 4MP

So first question - do you already have this system or are you building it? These aren't the newest components but I'm sure thats not news to you. It looks like pretty much the CPU spec'd is near the top end of what the board can accommodate, which if this is the motherboard being used, thats good. ...
