Re: Curious about legal issues with audio

I am in Kansas. I did some research. KS law says that people inside a public space (a business) may not be recorded without notification. Outside there is no assumption of privacy. So we are posting signs that Audio and Video surveillance at all times. That way if they don't want to be recorded they...

Curious about legal issues with audio

My GM recently ask if it was legal to record audio of customers or staff.
I am not even sure about those restrictions for video.
Do I need to post something saying surveillance was being recorded in the building?

Re: BI5 Cross Camera Audio Does Not Work

Checked with the programmer.
He says it was not designed to work that way.
But is looking at making it work that way in the future.

BI5 Cross Camera Audio Does Not Work

Hi, I just installed 2 new ANPVIZ IP domes over our checkout registers. They are setup cross view. The camera on the REG4 pole looks at REG3 and vise versa. When setup the cameras and the IP audio works fine. But when I select OTHER and pick the opposite camera for audio, I get nothing on ether. IE ...

Motion reporting to BI5

Hi all, well the system is running pretty well for about a 45 days. I was looking at the log file and noticed a lot of variance in the alerts coming from the cameras. I am guessing I have not been consistent with how I set up the motion reporting. I have: External Motion Events: subscription DIO ONV...

Re: Documentation is more than just lacking, much of it is useless

I understand the frustration over incomplete or out of date documentation. When I first purchased BI5 around the first of March 2020 I printed the included PDF file of 200 pages. I like to have a ring bound manual to pour over and make notes in. (Sorry, I am old school. Ex Navy Data Systems) I got f...
