BI CPU Usage descrepancy
I have an install of BI5 running on an i7 6700 with 16GB RAM. All (31) cameras are 4MP, running H265, direct to disk, dual stream processing, etc, and BI is reporting ~80% CPU usage, but meanwhile, in Task manager, CPU usage is being reported as ~25% (No surprise, almost entirely Blue Iris). I had t...

Re: Performance issues
I'm up to 7 5MP cams running 20FPS and all is still well. Have 2 more to put up before I need to order some more. Might get a 4k to run at the front door, but looks like the system will do everything I need it to do - so I'm happy. If someone could make an NVR with the configurability and ease of u...

Zone transition trigger
When setting up a zone transition trigger, say 'A-B' so any movement from A to B or B to A will trigger, do the zone masks need to border each other or overlap? I haven't really been able to figure out what consistently makes this work.

Re: Performance issues
Take a look at using sub streams for motion processing. I currently have 16 4MP, two 2MP (1080p) and two 3MP cameras running on my BI server (FC630 with 14 cores of an E5-2699v3 CPU enabled and 64GB RAM) that is used for that and backups, and after switching to using sub streams, my CPU usage dropp...

Re: Analog Camera Servers
If you REALLY want to stick with your analogue cameras, I can tell you from personal experience that Everfocus ELUX analogue DVRs can stream channels to Blue Iris. But like HenereyH suggested, you're probably further ahead moving to IP cameras. If it's legacy coax cabling that's keeping you on analo...

License plate camera support
I know BI now supports the ability to upload images to a third party for license plate processing/recognition, but is there any possibility of BI adding support to work with cameras that natively support license plate recognition, such as Dahua's ITC237-PW6M-IRLZF? The camera captures data like in t...
