Re: Random IP addresses

Matts, Many thanks for comprehensive reply. I will start with option 1 and reduce figures as suggested. While my home has a fixed IP address, I never know where I will be checking in from... I actually use a Draytek router which is way too clever for me..... I have to approach it in bite size chunks...

Re: Random IP addresses

terk, Matts1984,

Many thanks for comments. I do have port forwarding set up for BI and, as of yet, no VPN. I hope that my web server and advanced screenshots will be attached. I use a static IP address from my ISP.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for any help.

Random IP addresses

Wondering if anyone can advise me please? Looking at BI5 "Status messages" today I see a dozen of so "strange" IP addresses with Server" and "Connected". Do I assume that these are from hackers of one kind or another? Some addresses are 2.42.36.113; 172.104.67.101 ...

http switch from BI5 alert

Am wondering if there is an "economical" way to enable an alert from BI5 to switch on a light? I assume this would be done via sending a "http" command to IP enabled switch? A "Google" suggests that these switches cost a lot - in the hundreds - and I was wondering if th...

Audio UI3 / BI5

Using the latest release of BI5 run as a service, I have four cameras dedicated to wildlife stations around the garden. Each of the audio streams on these cameras is enable and record direct to disk. I have these four cameras in a single group. When viewing this group in UI3, I only seem to be able ...

Re: I/O Error & UI3 display

Hi Tim,

Am pleased to say that the camera that was giving a problem does not appear to have dropped signal since I applied the hikvision firmware to it. Long may it continue.

Re: I/O Error & UI3 display

Okay, Seemed to have been able to answer my own questions and posting information in case it is of any use to others. Camera drop appears to have been solved by updating branded camera to the appropriate hikvision firmware - no drop outs over the last 24 hours so will see how it continues. The appea...

I/O Error & UI3 display

Relatively new user here with BI v 5.3.5.0 x64 running as a service on Windows 10 Pro 1909 - i7-8700 @ 3.20GHz with 32Gb RAM - UI3 reports system running @ 11% CPU and 15% MEM. I have 6 POE cameras - hikvision, trendnet and unbranded connected. My first issue is that one camera repeatedly and random...

Re: PTZ Control not showing on web / Android

I found that I needed to use the Chrome browser on android to access the PTZ controls.
