Anyone familiar with NGROK?

EDIT: With the help of Blue Iris support, I got the ngrok connection working. :) A huge thank you to the support team for helping to resolve this. Here's their reply, and so far it seems to work perfectly (at least on a local LAN connection):
"If you receive an error remotely stating “successfully tunneled to your NGROK client, but the client failed to establish a connection to the local address localhost:81” it may be that “localhost” is not resolvable for some reason. In this case you may use the full LAN IP address in the NGROK command. Edit the BAT file and change the 81 to your full LAN address such as 192.168.0.200:81 for example."
So...I added the full IP address, tested it, and BADDA BING, BADDA BOOM, I now have a secure HTTPS connection to my BI box from anywhere in the world.

Thanks again to the BI support team for this. I beleive this is also being added to the manual.

And as a demonstration, please see the image below. You can access it from anywhere via http or https, internally or externally.

Ngroc issue

Hello, I am new to the forum but not BI. I recently cloned my drive to a new computer. An issue has since developed that is similar to the issue described below. BI runs using Ngrok for about 7 days or so. Then I cannot connect. When I try via Ngrok, I see the following. The connection https://XXXXXXXXngrok.app was successfully tunned to your Ngrok client, but the client failed to establish a connection to the local address 10.0.0XXXXX and that is a valid address. . . . No connection could be made because the target machine actively refuse it. I have already tried using the full Lan address but it does not resolve the issue. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Hi JKolpen: Create a new thread for new issue.

@Thixotropic
I have been messing with ssh tunnel. Somehow forgot about ngrok. Do you have time to post a brief summary of this juicy config?

I wanted to do that but don’t seem to have the ability to create a new topic. Thanks
