Exporting Time Range

I would sincerely appreciate guidance on how to export a time range of clips to MP4. For example, there are multiple clips from 9am to 11am and I would like to create a single MP4 with all captured video from a particular camera. The clips are flagged and protected but selecting all the thumbnails in the left pane doesn't accomplish the desired result on export. It also appears that start and end points can only be set within each clip.
