I’ve seen other problems related to not being able to view clips from the mobile app and/or ui3 being reported on Reddit!

BI should come with a waiver, never ever, whatever you do, never and I mean ever install a .0 release as it’s like a bus, another will shortly follow

+1
"stuff" quickly fixed but I am only a pioneer on the lab system.

In the Desktop console... Going into the timeline (Single camera, or console) crashes BI.
I've tried Repair/Regen & Compact/Repair.

Is this happening to anyone else?
Yes, I am also experiencing multiple crashes since upgrading to 5.8.2.0.
Especially in UI3 and mobile app. Will give them 48 hours before rolling back.

Why not just roll it back right now?

That update to 5.8.2.0 seemed buggy, version 5.8.2.1 is now out. Which fixed a lot of the problems that suddenly happened with the ...2.0 release.

Didn't bother as recording and alert worked well. System is on a headless server, so need to RDP in.
BI reacted promptly and released an update to fix, so I saved 25 seconds by not rolling back :D

I am retiring from a long consulting career in IT. My experience has been to always-always let new software have a bake-in period for the rest of the world before using it in any kind of production environment. Sure, you can put bleeding edge versions or even hotfix versions in your lab and play around with new features and such, but never where it can cause you heartache. Of course, I have spent a good part of my career fixing issues when people didn't follow that advice, so whlie it was bad for others, it was good for me.
