Apply to motion triggers only

In camera settings > Trigger > Artificial intelligence there is the option "Apply to motion triggers only".
What does this option do?
I can't find it in the documentation.

I believe it stops external triggers such as ONVIF triggering the AI. One day the help files will catch up

The latest manual (downloaded mid-Dec, 2023) still has nothing.

Compared to some omissions in the Help file, I think this one is as simple as I said before.
