Standalone AUDIO Recording?

Post by ballade4 »

Is it possible to connect something like this (with a POE adapter) to Blue Iris to record audio without any video present? This is to supplement a PTZ camera that I did not realize has no mic-in capacity.

I read recently that someone actually did that and described how, here in this forum. Search Results for microphone

  • If you know what your after, you'll recognize it when you see it.

Thank you, just found this thread: https://blueirissoftware.com/forum/view ... one#p12705

This seems like overkill to me though - another $90 on equipment? Or am I going to need something like this anyway to get the microphone to register as an available device?
