Low FPS after about 10 minutes

I've been using Blue Iris for a few years and haven't had any issues until recently, within the last month or so. I have Blue Iris running an old quad core laptop with plenty of ram and never peaked above 40% load while all cameras are recording. I use the web service quite often as i'm always in front of a computer. Normally I would see the FPS at around ~29-30 which is what I have the cameras set to. Lately, all the cameras seem to be operating at 2-6 FPS, which is borderline useless. The weird thing is, after I reboot the machine, the cameras will work fine for about 10 minutes, then the FPS drops dramatically. I've already tried dropping the max FPS to 15, but the result is the same.

Info:
I have 5 ReoLink Cameras - RCL-420 5MP

Wifi or Wired?

If Wifi, temporarily use a cable from the camera to your router/switch.
Did that resolve the issue? If so, then it's a Wifi issue, and you can troubleshoot that.

I had the same issue... a few cameras on the far end of the house, therre fps would drop as low as 1-2. I resolved by putting a AP point in on the other end of the house. Now I have access with 100% signal strength all through the house, side, front & back yards.

Try going back to a 5.4.x.x. version of Blue Iris.

I have a very similar slow FPS issue on any 5.5.x.x. version.
on 5.4 I get 40-50 FPS.
If I upgrade to 5.5 I get <5 FPS
if I return to 5.4 I get 40-50 FPS

Maybe related?

Defiantly.

Lots of updates/changes between those versions. You could try applying each version to identify the version that is causing the issue. Then you would have more info for BI support.

I too, see the degradation on one or more of my Reolink cameras (4 RLC-810A, 1 RCL-520A, and 1 SV3C) after 10 minutes, or so. If I solo one camera (on the admin console) to watch its high resolution stream, the FPS degradation starts immediately. I also get random artifacts every 15 seconds or so in the high resolution viewing window, but these artifacts are not recorded to the high resolution BVR stream. The play back from "clips" is clear.

I am starting to see a correlation between the camera degradation and when clips are moving between storage mediums (New to Storage, Storage to Archive, etc.) Where there is high data I/O, there is also camera FPS degradation. Hmmmm, further investigation is required.
