There are obviously other flaws with Ring, but the app beats the pants of the BI app for usability. It's trivial to set each camera to record 1-frame-every-few-minutes and trip regular recording on motion detection. The app embeds the videos where they go in the overall day and you can just stroll left/right to see them.

Maybe I'm just using it wrong...but I can't find previously viewed recorded events in the BI app. Is there a timeline view?

BI does not use the mobile app for setting things like recording settings (1 frame per sec for example). You can do that in the BI app itself then view the results in the mobile app.

For seeing timeline, hit the calendar in the upper right of the screen when on any camera and it will show you all of the clips that make up that day.

Ring might be nice but many BI users have zero patience for being locked into a monthly service plan type of model.
