Use BlueIris on main computer to view cams on CCTV computer?

Hi,

I have setup a new system out in the living room which is running BlueIris.
Is it possible to use BlueIris on my main computer to view BI running on the CCTV computer? (Much like using the Android BlueIris app to connect.)

Appreciate any help!

You can view your cameras using UI3 interface, you can access it by a web browser using the <IP of Blue Iris Server>:81

You can also use the native BI interface if you don't like the web interface but you'd need to buy two licenses. One for each machine.

I'd just use the web interface. In many ways, it is easier than the client anyway.

Thanks. I failed to mention I am currently using it already but I felt the quality in BlueIris was better and there would be no need for BlueIris to decode to x264 and then stream that to the browser. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

I'm OK with buying two licenses. So it is in fact possible to use BI on my main system and it simply receives the stream from the CCTV BI system? (Does it support streaming H265 which is what the CCTV system is recording with?)

If you tweak the UI3 setting you will get about the same video quality below are my settings

Thanks for sharing that. I have similar settings but for 1440p. I guess even if the quality is the same, I would like it not to run in a browser so I'll grab the license anyway. Glad to know it works like that though.

Thanks all!

Email support and they will send you a discount code for a second license. The saving is about 50%. Before buying a license you can install BI in demo mode and tryout the remote management.

Whoops, I went out and bought it almost immediately. Oh well, good to know for the future.

I set it up and got it working but the FPS for some reason wouldn't hit 30 like it would in the browser. Is that a limitation or a bug?

I think the below setting on the server will help
Click the highlighted icon

Then set the Default Max FPS to 30
