Would the below system spec be adequate for 20 4K Cameras?

Option_1:

From what I have figured out so far, it is more how you configure your cameras than the speed of the processor and having an accelerated graphics card. I read that just by having the camera's write direct to disk without post processing, you can shave a good 10% per camera off the CPU. As well, if you don't require re-encoding for everything, then the h264 and h265 can easily be handled by an intel 6th get processor built in graphic card. Other things like are you running the machine headless? are you thinking of running. DeepQuest AI on the same server?

I would stick with an intel processor of 6th gen or higher. The side of the windows drive doesn't need to be all that big. So a 256gb SSD of NVME would be fine and really ready work. You'd be far better off getting a servalance grade hard drive to record the video to. The size is really dependant on what you are looking to achieve. Like I found the 4TB to be the most cost effective for me. But you have 20 cameras and if you are looking to have multi week retention of the video and are recording 24/7 at full definition then youre going to need some impressive storage.

Firstly thank you for your reply.

I plan on running Deepstack AI with BI on the same server, for HD I've ordered a (Western Digital 10TB WD Purple Surveillance Internal Hard Drive), outside of that I have a 40TB NAS, that I will FTP backup recording too.

My goal is to purchase a PC/Server that is scalable and will last at least 8 years before I would need to upgrade, most importantly something that will work right the first time.

Would either of the below option or any of the previous options meet my requirements base on the fact that I'll 20 4K cameras? The i7 is definitely cheaper however; I'm trying to avoid a situation where I have to change in a couple of months or years.
