Disable browser refresh? - Allow single camera groups?

Not sure what recent change has caused it but up until a month or so ago, I had been able to set a browser tab to each camera and use an IR receiver in my PC to flip tabs and therefore, camera views.

Now, those tabs appear to be refreshing at unknown intervals which sets the view for each tab back to the group, thereby killing the single camera view.

Looking around, it doesn't look like any current browser has a good method of disabling refresh and I'm not seeing it as an option in BI either.

Barring that, does anyone know of a way to get BI to display a group when that group only has a single camera? Looks like a group needs to have more than 1 for it to be an option in UI3..
