UI3 - 5FPS on all cameras group

Post by g4m3r7ag »

Hello,

I'm currently testing out Blue Iris to determine if it fits my needs before buying a license. I installed the 15 day demo license yesterday and I am having trouble with the UI3 web viewer. I added 4 dahua cameras, no recording/motion detection or anything else at this point. Just streaming the feed. If I am using the actual blue iris application and viewing the all cameras group, I can't find where it shows the FPS but the video playback is smooth on each camera so it has to be 25+ I would imagine. I then downloaded the mobile app as it was seeming like I would be purchasing a full license so I would likely end up paying the $10 for the mobile app anyways and again viewing the all cameras group has smooth playback on all cameras. Today I decided to try and stream to the web viewer (http://ipaddress:81) and the all cameras group is showing 5FPS in the bottom left corner and playback stutters and is not smooth. I thought it may be a network issue so on the Blue Iris VM I launched chrome and went to http://localhost:81 and still had 5FPS in the bottom left and the playback was stuttering so I don't believe it is a network issue. The playback profile was set for 1080p v2 (vbr) I dropped it all the way down to 144p and it was still showing 5FPS in the bottom left. I couldn't tell if the playback was still stuttering due to how pixelated it was but I am assuming it would still have been stuttering. Am I missing a setting somewhere for UI3 to get smooth 20+FPS on the all cameras group? If I click on an individual camera, the FPS immediately jumps to 25-30FPS and playback is smooth as expected. As soon as I go back to all cameras it drops back to 5FPS.

Blue Iris is running on a Windows 10 VM on an ESXi cluster. VM has 6 vCPUs and 12GB of RAM. CPU/RAM utilization are both consistently under 25%.
