Just saying i7 doesn’t really mean a lot, what generation i7 was it? How much RAM did the laptop have and I assume it had an SSD?
I use substreams on all my cams, if you’re looking at an overview screen containing all your cams then vieweing the substream, granted not as clear isn’t really an issue when you get to the 8 cams that I have.
Plus I don’t tend to sit there and watch the cams, it’s more about the alerts and triggers to notify you when you need to watch.
