Cheap GeForce vs Intel HD graphics integrated on processor

Would this work well on a BI5 system rather than running the Intel HD graphics integrated on processor i7 gen6?

Yeah, I know it's a cheap outdated card, but seems like it might be a great match for my regular old VGA monitor setup, offloading graphics from the main processor to this card.

Thoughts appreciated.

As a simple graphics card it looks OK, and it should be fine for VGA resolution. I don't think it would do 4k very well, but if that isn't a problem...

The CUDA 11.7 toolkit used by CP AI requires compute capability 3.7 and above. GT 710 has compute capability 3.5, so at least on paper it does not look like it would support CUDA-accelerated CP AI processing.
CUDA does not help with the regular video stream processing anyway, but the Intel accelerator on the CPU would be used for H.264 either with or without CUDA. That said, using non-hardware accelerated H.265 is probably far more efficient anyway, if your cameras support it (I personally don't buy cameras that don't support H.265).
The GT 710 would be fine as a basic video card of course.

Yes, and I think Mike Lud mentioned that anything from the 10x0 series and up would work with CUDA, e.g. 10x0, 20x0, etc, but nothing below that series/level has CUDA cores if I understood him correctly.

1080 cards are sort of affordable right now, $250 ~ $300ish and there appear to be plenty for sale on ebay.

I'm debating if swapping my just-acquired 1080Ti for a 2080Ti is worth it (I'd get a good price from my son, lol). Seems like it might, so I'm tempted...
