Here is the latest new firmware for these models, there has a little update for some bugs, details please check the Release Note.
This new firmware is a important update for Fixing Security Vulnerabilities

General one is without dahua logo
DH one is with dahua logo.

Please make a default after make the update, and make sure the cams you are using is on the list. Hacked Chinese models, please don't use this firmware to update. If you have any doubt just send message to me for double check.

The link from Andy only has one version which is the web interface that is branded Dahua.

I have a IPC-HDW5231R-Z

I did NOT do the recommended factory reset after updating because resetting all of my settings is a hassle. I did make an export of the settings prior to the upgrade in case I did need to reset.

Doing the upgrade from the bin file and the auto restart as part of the process was fine for me. Zero settings had to be corrected (as far as I know so far).

I didn't have any previous deficiencies or notice any improvements from this update. I actually hesitated quite a bit because I didn't want to break anything and my cams are not accessible from the internet but I bit the bullet and updated one, then waited to update the remainder.

I did this firmware for the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE I just got from Andy. I did a factory reset before and after. So far so good.

I'm really trying to avoid these factory resets due to firmware update. Resetting everything is a PITA.
