Anybody ever rewire the pigtail on a Dahua?

Post by HeneryH »

Moisture got into my connector and fried the PoE pins.

I cut the connector off to put a new female connector (oops, what do we call these now in this new woke world??) on.

Wow, the wires Dahua uses in their pigtails are like the width of a hair. I'm not even sure if they would register on an AWG scale.

I think I found the pinout but need to check to be sure.

Good luck !

If you can't sort it, can you change the complete cable from the camera ? I hope it hasn't fried the components

The cable assembly is epoxied into the shell at its entry point. And I don't know how to acquire one even if I could cut the cable assembly out.

My first attempt failed but I'm not sure if I made a bad jack replace or if the camera is bad.

On the bright side.... I have a spare-part (hanger queen) 5231 if any of my other ones fail.
